Arti Eats Dog Food. Do You?

According to Wikipedia:

"Eating your own dog food", also called dogfooding, is a slang term used to reference a scenario in which a company (usually, a software company) uses its own product to demonstrate the quality and capabilities of the product.

What does this have to do with eGO? One if the most important things that you can do as a member of eGO is to play in our servers...or more colorfully, "Eat eGO's dogfood." My game time has been limited lately, but when I connect, I connect to our servers, as do many other members.

We created this community so we could have a punk free environment to enjoy our favorite games. After working so hard to achieve this, and after all the time, talent and donations it takes to keep our servers running, why would you play anywhere else?

As a member, if you have a concern about the way a server is configured, you have a voice! We want you to post in the Drop Box. It isn't always possible to meet every request, but your ideas and concerns help keep our servers fresh. Let your wishes be known.

If an eGO server is having a tough time getting filled, why not make it your goal to personally get a server party going? Use your social networks, ShoutBox and Vent to get the word out. Get a hold of me; I'll try to join...if you're serving dog food.

Wanted to say I really enjoy the community and love dods.
Wouldn't want to play anywhere else but eGO servers. Joining the vent is great since there are admins who help me out on the game too (tips and advice).

Ate dogfood before in middle school, its like chewing on wood that tastes nothing like food.

But I mostly play ArmA2 now and my Timezone is bad because I live in Indonesia. 11 hours ahead of EST, most players if not all (eGO or non-eGO) are sleeping when I can play. I can't even attend most ARTs or Clan-Wide meetings.

And then I know a group of Indonesian who plays ArmA2, I play with them quite a lot lately. Now you must be thinking: "why not recruit them to eGO? and get them to play in eGO servers?" Well, I have given it thoughts several times now but decided not to recruit them as most of them are players who can't uphold eGO "CoC". We don't members who can't do that, do we?

That's my thoughts. Feel free to drop me a PM or VM if you wish further discussion.

I have same problems when I want to recruit some people I know, bad language is used a lot, mostly because of their age and they just use slang and fool around a lot. So I would tell them about the community but I wouldn't sign them up because I know what they are like. And also the timing is hard for me some times since i live in UK and I have 5 hour difference with most of players for USofA. (not as bad as you ziant but can still be hard )

yes. I understand what you're saying. Since we already have so much members recruiting in US region from US region. I thought it'll be better if we get more recruits from SEA region. We had players from SEA region but left eGO. Why? because they feel secluded/isolated. They like to play with US/Europe eGO players but because of their timezone they can't even play together. I know one, he left exactly because of this reason. Now he is planning to rejoin but still struggling though.

and it's also my English isn't fluent (or maybe some people would say "is that even English?")
