Looking for a good processor!

As the title says, I'm looking for a good processor as a long overdue replacement for my old (and fried) dual core, any suggestions? I'm looking to spend under $130 dollars.

Note: My MB is an AMD AM3.

Need to 100% clarify your motherboard: Is it purely a AM3 mobo, and NOT the more recent AM3+ version? This is importance because AM3 and AM3+ CPUs are compatible on AM3+ boards, but AM3+ CPUs are NOT compatible on Only AM3 boards.

Assuming you did mean AM3 for the motherboard; then there's really only one CPU:

I'm assuming it's fried, I'd been using the heatsink that came with it, and had never replaced the thermal paste (I'd been using it with the same paste and bad sink for over 2 years) Replaced my heatsink and paste, and it's still running about 80C/185F

Can you clarify my motherboard question: Is it positively ONLY an AM3 mobo, or is it actually AM3+?

Microcenter has the Phenom II x6 1045T on sale for $90USD from $140USD (in store pickup only) if you're strictly stuck with AM3. Any chance we could get your motherboard model?
