Osu!
<div style="width: 500px; text-align: center" align="center">Based off of a similarly named title for the Nintendo DS, Osu! is a rather interesting game for anyone who is a fan of music and rhythm mashup gaming.
To get started, you have to sign up at the game's website, http://osu.ppy.sh/, and make an account. The account and the game are free. Once you're setup, you can download both Osu! and the game's approved music levels - known as "beatmaps" - on their website.
Navigating the program itself is simple. You open it up and click on the blinking Osu! logo to get started. You can then hit the play button and go to solo, multi or special (unranked). Once that's done, just click on the song you downloaded and have fun.
Once you're actually playing though, it's not quite so simple.
Many of the songs are hard, even with 3-5 difficulty settings and most new players are challenged by the learning curve for the mouse controls. Admittedly, I was a bit confused about how to play at first, but once you learn the basic moves the gameplay becomes very straightforward and pretty entertaining. It also helps quite a bit to make sure you run through the tutorial first.
Osu! has literally tens of thousands of songs available, so if you like music with your gaming, why not check it out? If you are still confused you can always click on the wiki page or Help!
