For all you spies...

Some pointers:

-Backstab radius is 180 degrees behind where the target is looking.
-Backstab radius is not dependent on how the back of the model looks, (although the model may affect the backstab registration to some extent ex: heavy turns sideways when firing his gun) but where they are looking. The player models do not do a good job of representing this however, so just notice where they're shooting or heading.
-Backstabs are 180 degrees behind the target regardless of whether or not you are above or even below them. Can be utilized for trickstabs.
-The hitbox backstabs hit are player hulls, which is how much space the player takes up. Not the models themselves. Every model has the same hull, which means that a Scout takes up as much space as a Heavy does.
-Unlike any other melee weapons, Spy's knives work like regular hitscan. It's instant damage.

I know this it is that since the Christmas update came into effect I have not been able to stab people from directly behind.

I've had some moments, more than before, where I am directly behind someone but the stab doesn't register.

Haven't played much actual CTF since the update (I was working on finishing my Tour of Duty), but I haven't had any problems that I'm aware of with backstabbing.

SAPPING however, yes. I've had two times at least IIRC where after I drop my DR, I can't sap a target with my sapper (literally, there's no sapper outline on it and 'shooting' does diddly with it when right next to the target). Had to switch weapons from the sapper to whatever and back to sap said target.

I never have problems with backburn registration. All you gotta do is W+M1. I mean, come on guys. It's not that hard.
