World of Tanks is an MMO centered around tank combat. Although none of the battles take place in history, the tanks you command each have a real world counterpart. Tank choices are broken down by country including the United States, Russia, Germany, France, the United Kingdom and soon to be included is China.
Each of these powers have tanks that were seen in the field before or after World War 2 and some that were just in the prototype stages. The tech trees are made up of classes with varying strengths and weaknesses including:</div>

- Light tanks to scout areas of the battlefield to keep tabs on the enemy
- Medium tanks which are raiders that hit hard and move fast
- Heavy tanks which are hard hitters and can take a beating to let the smaller tanks get in their shots
- Tank Destroyers, the sniper's of this tank war, with heavy hits but poor maneuvering
- Artillery, the hardest hitting tanks with the slowest reload and sometimes the ones with poor accuracy
