Well folks, It's that time of year that we all know and love, we get together with our families, friends and people close to us exchanging thoughtful gifts, ripping them open like savages, wrapping flying all over the place, the sound of excitement all through the house then to your amazement the kids have slung the toys aside and are having more fun playing with the cardboard boxes :\.

Then we have Christmas Dinner where we eat about as much food as we would normally consume in a week in 1 sitting, we feel too full and sleepy then have a nap infront of the tv watching a random christmas movie then you get on to the evening, you start on the alcoholic beverages and everything goes out the window and you make an idiot out of yourself, we all done it and you know it even if you won't admit it! hahaha

Sometimes at Christmas we feel that we need to rush out and buy the latest phones and gadgets paying way over the odd's because of organised "stock shortages" but have you ever really sat down and thought to yourself, What is Christmas all about?

Lots of us have different perceptions of Christmas, some see it as a time when Santa comes and gives all the kids these super cool presents and us adults have to pay for our gifts :( But when us adults are buying these things, we feel that we have to spend those extra hard earned dollar / pound / euro / yen / HKD / AUD / or whatever type of cash you have, why has Christmas got to this?

I'll leave that one for the economists to debate but in my eyes its commercialisation and the fact Christmas has been turned into a giant money spinner for corporate sponges. Anywho going a little off topic here.

Back to where I was at, Think about Christma

Agreed- but that comes with it. You just have to keep what it means close to you so you don't forget.

For me, it is definitely not about the presents, nor does it hold a super religious meaning for me.

For me it means getting to see and hang out with family and friends that you don't normally see during the year. It means giving a little more to charity (I am not a rich man, in all honesty probably just above poverty) but that doesn't mean that the Salvation Army doesn't need badly whatever I can give.

It's a time of year to be a little nicer to strangers, a lot nicer to each other- a time for good food, and good smells from the kitchen. (And don't forget playoff football)

I am usually much happier this time of year- even though I am not going to be able to see any of my family this year, I know that they will be together and I am not forgotten,

Happy Holidays to all,
