banned from vent?

I just hopped on ventrilo only to immediately get banned.... maybe there was a mistake? can anyone help out?

It looks like we were getting DDOS or something similar. Which started when Planetside 2 operations were beginning, which makes me suspicious... Damn those enemy factions!

My guess is either what Snipeye mentioned - DDOS - or someone with a rapid-namechanger script that ended up changing their name to your Ventrilo name and resulted in a accidental ban on your behalf..

That or just a all-around accidental misclick when attempting to ban someone else.

Actually, if he thought he was banned from vent, he should put in a ventrilo ban contest. This stuff unfortunately does happen from time to time. In this case, there was a big operation going on in Planetside 2, and we had an operation that coincided with that event. There are certain gaming communities in PS2 that will use hacks or DDOS to ruin the gameplay or organization of other players. My suspicions is that there was a certain (unnamed) PS2 community that found out that we were running ops, and were trying to destabilize us. Call it arrogant, but we've had several members have their games freeze whenever they encounter a certain guild faction in the game.
