I am from the TF2 division and today a friend who had 6 copies of Dota 2 gave me 1 and well lets be honest..... I have NO idea what the game is about... its downloading right now and uh... tell me... what the heck do you do in the game?

That is a tough question to answer in one post, so here are a couple of videos that you might want to check out.

the first video is a basic introduction to the game that only lasts 4 minutes. It kinda blasts through a ton of information quickly, but will give you a basic run down of what you need to know

This second video is strongly recommended by many new players. It is a 45 minute video, but let's be honest, it's worth it. It goes into more detail on how to play the game. Every new player I know that has watched this video is thankful they have.

Also, go back to the main Dota 2 forum and post your steam id to the list and add all the people you see on there. I strongly recommend you play some bot matches to start so you can learn without dealing with people who are angry at you for failing.

If you've played something like League of Legends or Heroes of Newerth (Haven't played HoN myself, but I've heard it's pretty much the same concept), then it shouldn't be too much of a struggle.

Pyrion Flax is pretty fun by the way. The game is really fun, but it takes a while to learn. You should come out Saturday to play.
