While I don't think it's the best, I think it will work for eGO. The reason be is that eGO is in development and, while the old themes looked better, change can be a good thing. Granted, I wouldn't be against going back to an older form of the theme, but I wouldn't mind keep the current one either.
 
I personally dont mind it at all. The pointy design does fit the word "edge" which is quite nice.
A bit of similar colours which are close to blue are also quite nice because, well, blue has always been our colour.

However, I would just like to suggest that the rank images are a bit too pointy. I'd imagine in the old one, the edges of the star in the background is more soft than the new one.

That's only a suggestion, the current one looks excellent and smart i'd say.
 
In all honesty I didn't expect the logos to change anytime soon, but change can be a good thing too.

One concern is that that it will get rather hard to distinguish leadership members from others. The gold and silver wreath was a nice touch placed on all leadership ranks (not just Council).

Also, maybe shrink the star shape just a little? Kind of too big in my opinion.

Other than that I like the new change and the new logo that was brought up for the new year!

But I find this new layout to my liking, now I see that most of you are basically torpedoing the change immediately when it is new, but how can our clan evolve and grow if not by adjusting to the times? I urge you to at least give it a chance, it might actually grow on you. Besides, someone has put their effort into it and in my opinion, the old one was getting kind of boring.

A lot of us aren't rejecting it simply because it's new, we have listed reasons regarding design, readability, and more.

Well, a poll on an issue like this is bound to be complex. It's not really a yes or no question.

Some people like parts of the new logo, but dislike others.

My point was more that there was no rude intent in starting the poll/discussion, and the community should in fact encourage such topics, otherwise nothing would ever change.

I've been here a long time. This is the third logo change I'e seen, I think.

Rules and guidelines have also evolved.

Imagine if CS Jail had never changed its rules, ever. Imagine if our spray policies had never changed.

These changes and more were due to FEEDBACK from members. Any negative feedback is not always meant to be a slap in the face. View my post in this thread.

I clearly state my issues with the design, I don't insult it or the makers.

To be honest, I like certain aspects of the design, but for me, the negatives outweigh it right now.

Yes, this is a long post, but I feel it's important. Feedback is good. Detail your reasons. Don't just say "I loVe it" or "This is terrible".

TELL US WHY.
 
I don't like it but that's just me. One main thing I don't like about the new ranks is the fact that you can't really see who is an Advisor or DL without looking closely at the rank image. It's very easy to look at a Council member and think "ok He's Council or Comm Manger." It actually too a while to notice that the old look for Advisor and DL isn't the same anymore. All they have is the stars under the eGO. Not the things out to the side like Dominion has.

The advisors and DLs have "wreathes" again.
 
This logo looks like a cartoon or something, not like a "serious" organization -> my opinion
*edit* -> I'm not saying this is ugly, but I think its not suitable for eGO
 
Personally, I like the new look. The "edgy" look of the font represents our name well and the star is sharp and more "manly" than before. I would like to see it a bit smaller, but design-wise I like it!

And guys, realize this... People are resistant to change because they are comfortable with how things are in the present. But how do we improve if we are so resistant? What you have to realize is this sort of change is minor compared to what could be changing. This logo is just an image of our community - the paint on the outside, so to speak. The true meaning and representation lies within with our members. Keep that in mind before posting.
