The Rabine and few others were interested on how to make maps, so I thought making a thread on a series of video tutorials to help those interested would help.
BIG UPDATE: DODS did a steampipe update so now you have to do work-arounds to make hammer work.
One way is to download an older version of the game (non-steam) and put it in the original directory. Another way is this (did not work for me but works for some): http://tinyurl.com/m5egmkt
Requirements:
Steam with day of defeat source bought.
Windows Operating System. (Not sure how Mac's run the software).
Extreme patience and desire to make maps, knowing lots of errors can come up.
A LOT of time.
Decent computer (I'm not computer spec savy, but I think being able to run dods pretty well is enough).
General knowledge of computer software usage on complex programs like photoshop. (You do not have to know how to use photoshop, but the program usage difficulty is similar to learning to use photoshop.)
