My 2 cents: Phone advancement is going way too fast. I don't want to change a 500-800$ phone every year or two.

I personally have a GS2, and I don't intend to change it until it breaks or becomes slow.

The phones are getting too massive in size, although of course bigger screens are nice. So i'm just waiting for the first folding screen-technology to the mobile phones.

I'll stick with my Galaxy Infuse 4G for now. Maybe when prices are cheaper or I can get an upgrade.

why would you want tech to advance more slowly? Hold back innovation just for the hell of it?

I have to agree with reflex on this. I think it's honestly great that phone tech is rapidly evolving. I think the issue would be paying $200-800 (with or without a contract) for a new phone that has LIMITED updates since the last phone. I think it's actually criminal for some companies to willingly limit some of the upgrades that have become a standard for other phones, just so they can peddle it out next year as a "featured" update. But that's always the end users choice (customers). If they want to spend that money on a phone with little to no upgrades, then it's their right. Me, when I look to upgrade at two years or more, I would hope to be getting a phone that has been upgraded greatly from the one I was using originally.
