Game of Thrones VS The books

Right now I am only through half of the third book BUT I have watched the two HBO series

I want to know what other people's thoughts on the seires plus the television series adaption.

I am almost done the second book and I have also finished the HBO series. I like how closely the series follow the books, it's probably the only show I have seen that does that. My favorite character is Arya and my most disliked character is Sansa, based off the HBO series and the books so far.

I've read all of the books out, and while of course they have to shave some things out and make other changes for watchable television, it's all been fine by me! I think the casting so far has been great, and they've captured a lot of the best moments from the books perfectly.

This next season will be ridonk.

The books were simply fantastic. I could not put them down. And cannot wait til the next one. But im sure we still have years before it comes out.

I ended up watching the first season before picking up the books. And i was hooked. And i think so far the show has done very well. of course they have left things out, and changed a few things. More things were changed in the 2nd book and season but i think still, its been a great job and cant wait til season 3.

Books have a lot more material in them. But I like following the HBO series because they do a great job following it and portraying the characters. Looking forward the the next season, although I wish they'd focus more on the story and less on the nudity...

Obviously the books have a lot more depth to them but I think they adapted them well into the television series.
