This quote comes directly from a council member post about promotions. Goals are nice but they should not be the main reason your here. Your here to have fun and meet people. That is what you should be focused on.

Nobody needs a higher rank to be a good person - so if all you are interested in is having more power and more respect from the general public then you may wish to rethink what your goal is, and most likely you are not the type of person eGO wishes to share its trust with.
If you want a promotion then be humble, and only worry about yourself - not about anyone else who gets promotions. Let eGO be concerned with other members, and you can be concerned with yourself. Be the best you can be, and forget about promotions.
