I'm back(sort of)

It's been 2 1/2 years since most of you last saw me. I got a hl2.exe error on my comp which caused me to stop playing cs:s and then a month later I joined the air force and have not had access to a gaming computer.

Well I finally got a good laptop and am ready to start adminning dust 2 again, in the process of getting it back. Although I am still getting this hl2.exe error which prevents me from starting a new game.

Hope to see all the new faces along with the oldies back in the servers

I have that same problem I have to load CSS through steam by going to start>programs>steam>CSS

I usually still have to do it a couple times for it to work and finally load the main screen.

And the problem begins whenever a new game of dust2 begins. Once I hit auto join, spectate, etc the game brings me to my desktop and says "hl2.exe is not responding" thus resulting in the game crashing.

I can immediately join the same game and miss the 1st round and not encounter the problem again until a new game begins

I have joined a gg server where this does not happen so I don't know if it is a map problem or server size possibly?

This problem was on my previous computer and now is on my new laptop. Possibly could be a steam specific problem and I have done a few troubleshoot problems to no avail.
