There's a tl;dr at the bottom for you lazy people.
Can anybody other than N-Light and Sublixt actually post in this thread with something meaningful? Even though Quickplay is mostly relegated to use by new players, without it our servers wouldn't have people in them, the rank would plummet, and lack of ad revenue would evidently remove our servers altogether. Some of us saw what happened to Valve Maps in the past, and we are determined to never see that happen again. The FFTF was made following the Valve Maps incident to ensure that such a thing wouldn't happen again.
The old Valve Maps used to have no crits and no random spread. It was glorious. Then Valve decided to get stricter on Quickplay rules and require that Quickplay servers be even closer to vanilla by having 24 slot servers with random crits and random spread for the best queue in the Quickplay system. Valve Maps plummeted in rank, and even after the removal of no crits and no random spread the rank was so low that nobody filled it and it was unfortunately removed due to it's lack of self-sustainment from ad revenue. There was enormous support to bring it back however and it did come back as the rest of the servers rose in rank due to the efforts of the FFTF.
I would love to see the removal of random crits as much as anybody else. It's a completely broken system that increases the chances of crits based on how much damage you're dishing out. The crit rate is also higher with melee weapons.
But all this is besides the point so:
tl;dr: As strict as Quickplay is, we need it otherwise our servers wouldn't be here. Random crits will remain.
Also, you should've dropbox'd this instead of making a thread for it.
