So I see everyone probably knows about the new Sub-Forums that we have now. As we can see the leadership is really trying to push CS:GO Gun game. I just want to know of any of you guys have been thinking of some server filling ideas for this server. I personally rhino that announcements are great ways to fill servers and we know they work like bounties and give aways.
I know a few people have been trying to push gun game and all tgey simply did was put in their Ventrilo comment "CS GO" That got me wanting to play some gun game things like that work also but they don't always get people on the servers.

I would like to see your input on what you think is a good method of filling the gun game server.

The only way I know of, which we have used, is to get in the server and play in it. It takes time to raise the server in ranks and also to expose it to new people. When the server has lots of people in it players will find it easier and more often. Basically, a bunch of people need to agree to a time and go play in it. This process takes time, so it won't happen in a day or so.

This guy knows what he is talking about. It doesn't take a leadership member to start a server. It just takes you and your friends.

I forgot that one :/ Even though its the main one

I think it's a good idea to get more servers online for GO, such as Dust2, Office, and all the usual servers, especially jailbreak. From there we could start a large recruitment for GO and build an eGO presence for GO.

I'm all for GO, I think kickstarting a presence would take more servers.

We had those all at the start and most were rather empty most of the time. A vote was put up asking people what they wanted, gun game won, gun game sat empty. Just one of those times where votes on a forums don't translate to who will actually play the game they voted to support. I didn't vote in that thread because I doubted at the time I would be using cs:go for anything but competitive play, which just happened to be how it turned out.

I finally have a computer that can run it efficiently, so I'll be playing it more often. It's disheartening when you look at the server and it has 0 players. It is pretty fun when there are people there.

Join in, grab some people off your Steam list, and play play play!!!

The only way to truly fill the server, or any server for that matter, is to have pubs in it. Once the server gets regular pubs, the server will practically fill itself; much like the Dust 2 server. The tricky part is getting the first regulars :)
