Yeah, it sounds confusing, up until you read the news that was posted today about the game.
Basically Gearbox put up 3 new cosmetic packs for sale per class today (that's 15 in total), each coming with a skin and a head in a specific flavor. The three packs are "Madness", "Supremacy", and "Domination", and some of 'em have some nice stuff in them. And for $0.99 each they're not going to really break the bank compared to some TF2 items.
I personally haven't really found a head for the Mechromancer or Assassin I was happy with, so I nabbed the Supremacy pack for both and the Domination for the Assassin.
Reeeeeeally like the look of the Supremacy setup for the Assassin... Mainly black with yellow detailing...
