You really must be doing something wrong for your promotion to eG.

Have you tried using Vent although there was loads of you in there last night, you'll have to go back to the drawing board.

Hi there.

I don't like the way this is worded. Most e's don't use vent. I didn't use Vent until I was promoted, but I now use Vent for 10 hours a day.

Frankly, many e's simply don't care about being promoted. And that's not a bad thing. e's are our first line of "defense" in the servers and we need e's to thrive. Even if they aren't in Vent, e's often play more than higher ranks and no matter what you think of their merits, they are the backbone of eGO.

In the CoD division, we've had e's that haven't been promoted in 3 years. Maybe if they were more active in the forums and on Vent regularly it would help their chances, maybe not. But that's entirely up to them and we shouldn't pressure or look down on members who may not be doing everything to our exact standards.

What part of the wording did you not like?

Can't understand what you are going on about, ego blantantly state that to get noticed you need to pop into Vent and forums.

Has this policy changed now?

It's like you have come half way into the BF disscussion without knowing the beginning......................we are short on G's

I'm just picturing reading this as an e and feeling like a failure. In my opinion it's not constructive advice.

But I can sense the frustration of not having enough G's. You are a G and you presumably got there deservedly. I can only hope that others follow your example and that you get many more proactive admins such as yourself.

As for me coming in here, I can imagine you'd think I'm strange for doing so. I was trying to find some members from last night's clan meeting.

It's always so impressive to see so many of you in Vent a few rooms above me when even our DL's and Advisors are at work or otherwise occupied in their non-eGO world. I've often had to ask your leadership to kick spammers and I have no doubt that if I could get a BF game to run on my computer, I'd spend more time in your division than in my own for that fact alone. I commend your division and I hope I didn't offend you. That was not my intention and I apologize.
