eGO marks a comeback into competitive gaming with this highly anticipated tournament.

The 2013 Battlefield 3 Platoon Vs. Platoon Tournament NA (North America) was formed to create a “Community Oriented” venue for Official Battlelog Platoons to compete in a semi-competitive and fun environment. The tournament is open to all Battlefield 3 PC Edition Platoons whose membership primarily consists of players residing within the United States, Canada, & Mexico.

Tournament Time Table: (tentative) Matches will begin being played February 15, 2013. All matches should be concluded no later than March 4, 2013. The final Championship Match should be played no later than March 9, 2013.

When official registration closes, midnight EST February 12, 2013, the brackets will be seeded using an auto bracket generation script. After Tournament brackets are seeded we’ll begin polling Team Captains for match scheduling date/time preferences.

Default Game-Play settings are in effect for all Tournament Matches with all unlocks being available, vehicles allowed, and ticket counts at 75% of default setting. In a purposeful attempt to accurately reflect the Battlefield 3 Game-Play environment that is typical in a Public Server setting we have opted to utilize Default Server Settings throughout this tournament. No special rules apply with the exception to Base Rape.

eGO will be fielding a strong team which will go up against the likes of IR and Reddit. A rotation policy will be applied on the roster but preference will be given to those who show up for practice at times which will be established shortly. The format is double elimination, we weed to be very well prepared for each game.

Practice start next week !!!! Watch this thread for more info. Post in this thread if you would like to play.

as always depending time/day considering i am a euro guy, i might be able to attend a few but likely not all same goes for practices.

I'm down, but how does this work since we have like 4 platoons?

essentially the roster for every game needs to be posted up by the captain 1 hour before every game. For multi-platoon clans like us that will completely depend on attendance. As Shorty said, we are also working on a few things on our end.

Sounds good. I'll keep an eye out for any updates you have.

How does this work? is eGo registering a single platoon? do we have to register for the tournament or is eGo registering a single platoon of which anyone in A, B, C or D platoon can participate?
Do we need to give a definitive yes to the tournament, or can we apply for individual matches?
I'm in for the most part, just unsure of the details. 2 days until registration is closed...

I was wondering the same thing Jack. I haven't personally registered because I was thinking we were registering as a group.

Side note. I'd like to be on an attacking(non-defense) group this time if possible.

Let me put the details in bullet points –

1) You have to be a member of eGO to be eligible to play regardless of which Ego platoon you are a part of.

2) To be eligible to play in specific matches, you have to show up for practice 2-3 hours before the game and register with me or any leadership member present for that game.

3) Roosters are finalized by me 1 hour before the game, they have to be submitted by me to the league admins.

4) No additional software or registration is required. We only have to register the team.

Matches begin soon, so keep checking this thread for more details.
