DOD:S update woes

Is it just me or has anyone noticed that after the recent update DOD:S is taking FORRREVVER to launch. I haven't launched it in a week but as soon as I started up Steam yesterday there was a quick update to DOD:S. Now, every time I launch the game it takes 1-2 minutes to launch. Steam launches instantaneous but DOD:S is the problem. I've verified the game cache but will probably reinstall. Am I the only one?

No mate it's not you, Steam is a pain. I try launching dod and wait upto 15 minutes, then I restart my comp, steam loads fast and so will dod.

Thanks for the reply, I thought there was something wrong with my PC. I guess I'll wait for the next update. I may post over at the Valve forums. Everything was fine until it updated yesterday.

not completely related, but a DOD:S issue. I have approximately the same latency on every server (60s), but when I play on the anzio server I always end up with a lot of lagg. Does anyone else experience this?

valve just needs to stop updating dods. Mine no longer downloads patches, it just verify's my game cache -_-
