February Giveaway - Siberia Headset!

This month eGO is giving away two SteelSeries Siberia v2 Gaming Headsets! To enter yourself into this contest, all you need to do is follow a few simple steps. It's easy and painless, we promise! We have already made a list of the items necessary for you.

What You Need:

- Your current headset or microphone
- A writing utensil
- A piece of paper
- Camera / Smartphone

Now What?

Use your favorite writing utensil to write your eGO forum name on a piece of paper. If your friends describe your handwriting as something that came from a kindergardener, you may want to have one of those friends write your forum name for you.

Grab your headset and put it next to that fancy piece of paper with your name on it. Take a picture of it with your camera or smartphone and post the photo here.

Replies to this thread will be taken until February 17th at 9 PM Eastern. Council will pick 10 members after reviewing all the submissions. Those members will then be entered into a forum poll which will run until the February Clan Wide Meeting on February 24th at 6 PM Eastern. The two members with the most votes from that poll will win brand new headsets.

eGO will do its best to ship the product to the winners, but in the event that no shipping options are available, another winner will be chosen. Also, if you are under 18 and your parents do not approve of you winning an item, another winner will be chosen.

The only people ineligible from this contest are Council / Community Managers.

Although not anticipated, the rules are subject to change if needed, so visit this thread often for updates.

My headset that isnt a headset!!!

Ok so the story behind this is that i got these headphones so i could hear the game and be able to talk at the same time.

The issue is that the mic is so small it dosnt even pick up my voice when i wear the headset so if i wanna talk i have to use my speakers to hear and have the headset around my neck to talk into the mic.

so instead of hearing i have to use the mic to talk and my speakers to listen instead of both in 1.

kinda defeats the object of a headset eh?

Third headset I've gone through while being here at eGO... can't really afford much than those 25$ bargain bins that barely work and or easy to break... would be nice to get a headset that wasn't so... easily breakable...

All right, I guess this is the thread to post in, so here's my headphones:

These are Maxell headphones, not exactly the best at gaming, but they do the job.

But the real reason I would like this headset, is the mic. You probably noticed there was no mic in the picture, that's because the mic is actually the webcam I used to take the photo! Here's proof:

If I had only one thing to worry about, I could have more space around my eMachine, which will be replaced by my new gaming PC I build. So, if I can win this, it will take off about $50, which would be very nice.

But, if I don't get picked for the poll, I understand. And for everybody else, good luck.

These hurt my ears a LOT, and the slider on it annoys me to no end. Basically, I need a way better headphone. Oh, and I still use the same webcam mic, so yeah. :l

You can't see it, but I'm rocking it with hockey tape on side where it doesn't stay together. This is my second $80 headset in as many months, and I can't say that poor quality is what I'm into.
