So come late spring, I will be upgrading my current system to the i5-3570k. My question is whats the best aftermarket heatsink to use in order to overclock that bad boy? Reason I ask is cause I recently got an email with a 15% disc on cpu coolers. Any & all suggestions are welcome.

Something like the H100 or H100i would do well if you are planning to overclock a fair bit and have the space in your case. I recently saw a review for this:

Go with copper, Zalman makes some nice copper ones. Can't be beat.

Depends on your use. Are you looking to overclock ? Then look in to Corsair H20 line dependent on you case size limitations (H80 - H100i).
Other wise there's a lot Copper ones on the market, Bigger is better & plenty of gill slots but be sure that those also fit inside your case.

Noctua makes some of the best air coolers on the market. If you are one that prefers liquid though grab either an h80 or an h100 (both by corsair)

Ive tried both Noctua the mainstream one (cant think of the exact model) and the Coolermaster 212 EVO with replaced fans, the Noctua had three fans push/pull, coolermaster had two fans push/pull. The only difference I saw between the two was a three degree difference. The Coolermaster 212 Evo is what I use and run my i5 3570k on 4.5 GHz 1.3vcore and it maxes at 71 degrees. The noctua is too expensive, the coolermaster 212 evo costed me 15 dollars. I dont prefer liquid cooling, pump goes out, your screwed. If it leaks everywhere, goodbye to your PC. and the warranty sucks on the liquid coolers.
Yes, thanks for the feedback guys. I want to make 1 thing perfectly clear; I am in no way going after liquid cooling. I dont have the funds for it right now & am in no way frankly interested in the technology until I have enough $$ set aside to just have fun with a side build.
Based on that, ya have to go with the Noctua NH-D14.
It's a beast that BEATS most enclosed water systems at half the cost. I have one on my old yet wicked X6 and even at over 4.2ghz, it stays cool.
I'm with you, not ready for liquid cooling even on my next build. But I will gladly use the Noctua again.
FYI -- Don't skimp on the thermal paste. The Noctua comes with some good stuff. Tuniq TX-4 is also nice, I've used that with some success too.
Oh ya im not gonna skimp on the thermal paste. I have 2 things of Arctic Silver 5 in my closet. I bought 1 by accident cause I thought I lost the other. But ya, I recently heard of Tuniq. My current build is using AS5 right now.

For performance to value the Hyper 212 Evo can't be beat. I've got it installed and am overclocking by 900Mhz on a bulldozer with minimal heat increases.
