Ok guys, keep this in mind before you respond: I am INCREDIBLY technologically challenged. Its almost unbelievable.

Anyway, so I've been surfing through Fpsbanana and found a pretty cool skin that I want. But, after I extract the folders, I go in to try it out and it still has the skin that I want to replace. Then I try it again, and on every folder (materials, models, sounds) it asks me if I want to overwrite the current folder, which supposedly is exactly what I just put in there. So I do it again, but the old skin I want to replace is STILL there. Any suggestions? Thanks guys

Whats the skin name, or better yet place the link in here. Some time people place up skins and don't place in good directions on where to place them.

But here is some advice I can give.

After extracting the skin open up your steam folder, go to steamapps, than open your e-mail address folder, than Day of Defeat source, than dod, than materials than, than models. It should look like this-

Steam\steamapps\e-mail\day of defeat source\dod\materials\models

Ok, now that you have your models folder open, look to see if you have a "player" folder in there. If you do not, create it. Just name it player. No caps. Now if its an axis skin you need to either create a german folder or if the skin already has a german folder just place it in there and you are done. If you have to create it, do so and place in the .vtf files.

If this is for ally you would need to create an american folder.

Now this should work. Atleast I hope it does. :)
