Ugh, anyone help me out a bit with VMware Workstation and Ubuntu? I've got everything installed, but it doesn't know what video card it is (GeForce 550GTX-Ti). Tried downloading drivers from nvidia, but the window freezes every time it tries to do diddly.

That would totally work except you would have to download Steam and TF2 to RAM or the flash drive itself.

Nvm on my problem, still doesn't show a video card, but apparently it opened TF2 enough in Ubuntu to give me a Tux.

Come to think about it, this will not be the new buds, because:

1) TF2 is now free, as opposed to when earbuds came out:
a) People will create millions of alts just to get this
b) There is a bigger hype now. Example:
Festive items: Nobody knew Festives would be added in 2011, therefore they didn't plan ahead to get keys like in 2012. The new Strange Festive weapons are way cheaper than 2011 ones.
Most TF2 players who knew about SF weapons were excited for the 2012 ones, like people who know about buds will be more excited about the Tux and will probably try to make $$$ off of the little guy

Pretty much this.

The penguin will be around what that Alien Swarm hat is worth. A little bit more, since it does take a little effort to get it, but after you get it setup you can technically make unlimited alt accounts and get more penguins.

Steam's being an absolute pain in the ass to download right now. Dependency problems abound. I sincerely hope Valve fixes this.

I've actually had a wubi in my downloads folder for months now, I just needed motivation to finally use it.

Got my penguin, and love it, but tbh i dont think it will be the new buds, ppl can make way to many alts and would ruin the market

Hopefully all you pondering the eventual value of Tux ingame are remembering that this item is only available until March 1st too.

Also the fact that he's not tradable or giftable (at least thus far) kind of destroys any chance of him being a currency.
