New Machine Finally up

Cpu: i5 3570k 3.2GHz
Main Board: GA-z77-ud3h
RAM: 4x 4gb Borsair VENGENCE
Video: Nvidia 480 GTX 1.5 GB
HDD: 1TB Seagate Barracuda
SSD: 50Gb for windows 7 (64)
PSU: 700 Watt Corsair PSU

My old setup Was a budget AMD quadcore/ATI bundle so this is a pretty huge upgrade for me :D

So far I've only tested Planetside 2, and its nice. Next up is Skyrim..
 
Just curious Ragman, how much space u have left on the ssd after you installed win7 on it? I am planning on getting myself a 128gb ssd (maybe 90 depending upon the space).
 
Do we get some snazzy pics? Those are impressive specs though!

Windows 7 is maybe 8-9 gigs total.

I can honestly say I am a PC Geek because I saw the motherboard and immediately thought: Oh good, he got a Gigabyte board.

The only underwhelming part, to me, is the GPU, which is still a nice card. A nice, sizeable upgrade from where you were last time. A bit overkill on the PSU, but overall, a solid build!
Few questions:

1) What case did you stick it all in?
2) Was budget the reason why you went with the GPU and SSD?
3) IF yes to the prior question, was cost saving from 16GB of DDR3 memory an option at all or never an option?
4) How do you like your boot times for Windows now on that SSD?

1) Some $75 case from Newegg that I Heavily modified from my previous machine.
2) After some serious haggling with Microcenter's manager (and telling him I made a 2 hour trip to the store one-way) He bundled all of it together for $500 - would have been $650 separate. So yea.
3) Its supposed to be 3- 4Gb Sticks of DDR3. Had 1 Corsair Vengence 4Gb with my other one, bought 2 more of the same type.
4) Very fast. About 5-8 seconds. I like.
