Apparently it used to be 5 buds early last year, but the price tanked. How do people even come up with how much unusual hats are worth?

They judge by how cool the hat looks with the effect.

[Fraurrix]

Somebody tried to offer me an unusual Demoman's Fro for it. Pffft, why would I want a fro for my Demoman when he already has a green Conjurer's Cowl renamed; "Well excuuuse me, princess!"?

[Mr. Monday]

Very nice hat. I approve.

Also, solly hats are worth quite a bit. Double check before anyone tries to trade with you.

I'm probably just going to hold onto it unless I can get a good deal on a Medic unusual.
