I've recently been thinking of upgrading from my GTX 560 TI in sli to a GTX 670 (specifically this one [ame]http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008LTJR06/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER[/ame] since its 4 gb but with rebate is the same price as a 2 gb). And possibly thinking of getting one of those new fancy 1440p monitors at some point. Recently I've gotten more into recording videos and in less demanding games it isn't too bad, but in more demanding games, like BF3 and Metro 2033, it lags a bit. And when editing it kind of lags my computer (but that's probably just RAM). Also having it run on 2 monitors could giving it hard time. At some point I also might be using 3-d engineering software (SolidEdge, Inventor, etc) and I'm not too sure if my current cards would do well with those programs.
However I wasn't sure if I even should upgrade yet or get a different card or wait till the 700 series or 8000 series, so any suggestions would be great.
My current rig is:
CPU: Intel Core i7 2600k @4.4 ghz
Mobo:ASRock Z68 Extreme7 Gen3
Memory: G. Skill 8 gb 1866
PSU: Lepa 900w
GPU: 2x MSI GTX 560 TI Twin Frozr II
OS: Win 7
