So... Today during a Jazz band rehearsal for tomorrows contest, My director told me to let loose on the hole notes and half notes. Now I'm a trombone player... She was all the way in back of our auditorium and after the song... she comes back on stage and says this.
"Alex.... Calm down... You do not need to cover up everyone, I heard nothing but you." Our only Tenor sax player turns around and says "I now have hearing problems... THANK YOU!" .... goal... accomplished!

You would think that a band director would know better than to tell a trombone player to play as loud as he wants.

yes it's a trumpet, but you try searching for "Annoying Trombone player" and see what comes up. Most of those videos make me want to gouge my eardrums out of my skull.
