Sound card issues

i just finished reformatting my computer, im getting the typical playback sound through my microphone into my headphones. not knowing how to fix that issue i was hoping someone here can give me a head.

My sound card is the creative fatality series card, if that helps at all. yes all drivers are up to date

May need a clean OS reinstall and reinstall of ALL drivers. Before you do so, use drivesweeper to remove ALL drivers currently installed.

Nah. Go into your playback devices and make sure you have the right ones enabled and disabled before you go around and reinstall everything. lol

do you have noise-supression enabled ? thats why you hear your mic in your headphones.

Ah. Well in the bottom right of the screen, Right click the sound icon, Click playback devices and when that pops up it should give you a little window full of devices and everything else.
