VHS to DVD conversion

So my mom wants to convert all of her VHS tapes (mostly Disney) to DVD, but the hardware she bought doesnt support Win7 (I even checked their site & they dont have firmware to support it). So my question is, what is the best hardware to get for the conversion?

Tbh, I wasnt really sure if this is the best place to put it, but I doubt itll be moved (who knows on that 1 tho).

You are entitled to make backups of software, videos, etc for your home personal collection. If you decide to sell copyrighted products, you could face legal issues.

Disney tapes cant be dubbed to dvd... they are protected.. we have a ton of Disney movies and cant dub any over to dvd

I do it all the time for my niece.

Why can't you? In the US, you are entitled to use copyrighted intellect as long as you're backing it up for your own personal use or using it for educational purposes.

You must own the original piece though. In this case, he wants to convert VHS to DVD to keep up with times and you can do it legally.

Copyrights are put on so YOU don't make money on someone else's work, that's it.

Same applies with copyrighted software. If you bought the software originally and let's say you're gonna reformat your PC, you're entitled to back up the software to a DVD.

I can also vouch for Dazzle, it works great! My family had a lot of home-made videos that they shot as we were growing up and as a surprise birthday present I used Dazzle to convert them all to DVD. It worked great.

Well thats fine for the software, but what bout the hardware? My mom has this ion vhs player at her computer with it plugged it. Do we use that in combination with the Pinnacle or hows that go bout?
