Compared to the default controls (shoot, strafe, move), I'd say mine are... different.

My question: am I the only one that doesn't use the default setup?

Fire: M1
Alt fire: M2
Jump: SPACE
Reload: A
Walk forward: M3
Walk backward: D
Strafe left: S
Strafe right: F
Call medic: H
Last disguise: G
Crouch: X
Taunt: O
Last weapon: Q
Weapon slot 1: W
Weapon slot 2: E
Weapon slot 3: R
(Mouse wheel weapon switch is disabled)

Fire: M1
Alt fire: M2
Jump: SPACE
Reload: Automatic
Walk forward: w
Walk backward: s
Strafe left: a
Strafe right: d
Call medic: q
Last disguise: b
Crouch: e
Taunt: g
Weapon slot 1: 1
Weapon slot 2: 2
Weapon slot 3: 3

How do you even....

*tries to replicate*

All I use that's not standard is:

Taunt: E
Crouch: Q
Script: F
Call Medic: R

And something on Z too, I don't remember what.

But HOW.

I use shift for crouch, that's about it. ( I can't remember what CTRL does since I never press it, whatever shift used to be..)

This is actually pretty impressive if I do say so myself.

I sat for 5 minutes trying to figure out how you manage that so well lol.

I stick to the default. Have to since I suck still at this game :(

Everything is about standard on mine except for
Q switches between primary and secondary
Holding shift pulls out my melee, when I let go of shift it goes back to the last weapon I had out.

I have my voice key moved to somewhere. Forgot what key it was. Other than that and some bound specials to my F-keys I'm rollin' with vanilla.

esdf instead of wasd
a: crouch
space: jump
t: call medic
reload: auto

mousewheelup: primary
mousewheeldown: secondary
mouse5: melee

w,3,r: pda things for spy and engi. for spy I have it so w pick offensive, 3 picks defensive, r picks support, then w picks the first of that group, 3 the second, and r the third. example 3 r will disguise as enemy engi. shift before the commands and I disguise as a teammate. for engi w is build dispenser, 3 tele entrence, r tele exit, and shift for sentry. All those binds also destroy the building too.

some classes I have
mouse1 fire primary weapon
mouse2 fire secondary
and mouse5 hit people with melee.
these classes are scout, soldier, and engineer(when running minis, lv3 I run the other binds)
q is an alternate attack2 in case randomizer.

so the whole idea behind my binds is to move my fingers off the movement keys as little as possible, which is my my right hand and left pinky does a lot of work. Also to make movement my left hand; aiming and weapons my right hand.

I wish I had a gaming mouse instead of microsoft budget crap, then I'd bind a side button to melee like you, another side button for things like pyro airblast and heavy sandvich, jarate, etc. That'd make (TF2) life so much easier for me.

Fire: M1

When I was first getting started, my husband changed my setup from vanilla WASD to this one - it's the one he uses, and he finds it easier. Since it was the first one I learned, this is the vanilla setup to me, and that WASD thing is just weird.... ;)

Fire: M4 (Since I usually play spy if I have melee out it automatically pulls out my revolver so If I miss I can shoot the person)
Alt fire: M2
Jump: SPACE
Reload: Auto
Walk forward: W
Walk backward: S
Strafe left: A
Strafe right: D
Call medic: E
Crouch: Space
Taunt: G
Last weapon: Q
Console: `

And my disguises are bound from F1-F10 To switch it to team I hold -

Almost vanilla

My secondary attack is M3, yes m THREE, my jump is M2, and my primary is m1. that's about it.
