Wisdom Teeth Recovery Diet?

I just got my wisdom teeth taken out yesterday, and I leave for Florida on the 16th. I've been eating pudding and drinking chocolate shakes all day. The diet supposedly has to stay soft foods all week.. do you guys have any experience with wisdom teeth and the recovery process? I've got soup and some baby food (YES I LIKE BABY FOOD) for later in the week, but is there anything else you guys could help me think of that'd be good to eat without hurting my stitches and such?

Well you are too young for beer. How about tomato soup? Or any of the other soups that do not have meat or large veggies to chew.

After having my wisdom teeth out for 24 hours I went to McDonalds and got a junior chicken. So it varies per person, I sure didn't wait a week haha

2-3 times a day (say in the morning then again in the evening) swill warm salt water in your mouth. It'll hurt like hell the first week or so you do this, but it does help speed up the recovery process. Do not be disgusted when you spit it out and it's bloody (that's expected).

Ice can help relieve some of the pain around the gums where the teeth were pulled, but that depends on some people.

Soft foods and drinks are definitely a must for the few weeks. Bananas, fruits, pudding, yogurts, etc. The side benefit (if any) of having the wisdom teeth is being forced to eat these kind of foods and drinks. Which in turn means, if you're in college eating a lot of junk food, you'll be shedding a lot of those extra pounds fast.

my ortho surg said basicly no hard foods for 24 hours, then soft foods after that... but he said after about 24 hours, as long as you are not eating chips, and other really hard foods like that you should be fine.

i.e. I went to McDonalds, and got a double quarter the day after... was slow eating, but worked out fine.

Before I start Snype Eye I like your Tribal Loyalty boss. (I'm a TribesPlayer since 1998 bro, even did some starseige and earthseige2!)

Kam you should've came to me about this, bro wiskey does the trick. Kills germs and numbs the pain. No seriously... get some cambells noodle soup bro.

I had 4 wisdom teeth and all 4 1st bicuspids removed. I think I only went a few days of drinking blended food before I stopped giving a crap and just ate normal food, but chewed very carefully. I also bought a water flossing machine to wash out any food that got caught down in the little holes where my bottom wisdom teeth were removed. I even smoked.... again carefully, cause I didn't want to mess up the clots.

Nothing with seeds (raspberries, etc.)... if those get stuck in the cavities, they'll never come out lol.

I agree with what Snipeye said, especially the salt water.
