Advice for a new gaming mouse

I'm searching for a new gaming mouse. My wireless Microsoft mouse of 4 years is starting to give out on me, so I'm looking to replace it. I'm will to spend up to $75 for a quality mouse. I'm currently testing out the steelseries sensei, and the zowie ec2. I was wondering if any of you have had any experience with these mice or can make any recommendations? I'm looking for something simple in design, ideally symmetrical, adjustable cpi/lift off distance.

Check out Logitech mouses see if you find one to your liking. I have tried other brands, all gave me issues. Razer has the double click issue, etc. Logitech has been the only brand that works flawlessly.
 
Razer makes some very nice mice, a lot of which are ambidextrous. My recommendation is the Razer Lechesis.

I have had 2 RAT's; on both the mouse 4 and 5 buttons stopped working after several weeks of use. While comfortable, the build quality seemed sub-par, especially for the high price.

Although not necessarily a gaming mouse, I highly recommend the Logitech M570. It's a trackball mouse. It's awesome for comfort, very easy to use for long periods of time. Work on any surface since it doesn't need to be on any surface to work.

It only took me perhaps a day of using this mouse to be able to game on it comfortably.

Battery life is incredible, I never turn it off and the single battery has lasted me over a year now and its only at 50%.
 
I'm not sure what double click issues you're talking about with the Razer mice.
Never had a problem with that on any of my 3 Razer mice.
I have a DeathAdder and 2 copperheads.
The DeathAdder is simple.. and just amazing for gaming.
One of the more popular gaming mice around...

Logitech also makes great mice.

I personally love Cyborg/RAT products. Very durable.. BUT not waterproof ;P. The mouse does look uncomfortable but in all reality is possible the best mouse i have ever used

Of razers current gen mice deathadder is the only one worth buying. All others break after a few months.

Wha...? There's a half-dozen (or more) mice of excellent construction and quality out there. The Deathadder is far from the best option available to begin with; it's a GOOD option, but it's not the best.
 
I use the Logitech G9x. I own two of these and for FPS they are superb. I would not recommend for MOBAS/WoW type MMOs though.

If the price is too high the Logitech G400 is another beastly gaming mouse.


Important specs for me are DPI, reports per second, size of the mouse, and customization. The g400 is a great contender in all of those aspects except customization. The G9x comes with different grips for different size hands and has weights(I'm not sure if the G400 has weights.)

They both have high DPI and 1000 reports / second.

They both are excellent mice.

If you play League of Legends or other similiar games a lot you might want to look into a mouse similiar to the Razer Naga. The side buttons are too good to pass up.

Picking a mouse is a personal thing, what works for me might not work at all for you. Size, weight, the # of buttons all are factors that have to ?feel? right for the buyer. That said we can still give our opinions.

you should always try and actually go somewhere where you can put the mouse in your hand & get it?s feel before picking your mouse, sucks to buy a mouse & then find out it doesn?t fit you right
 
Check out the corsair m65 and m95, the new versions of the m60 and m90. I've been eying them out for awhile, they look really nice.
