A Message From The CEO

<div style="width: 500px; text-align: center" align="center">The desire to be promoted within eGO is understandable. Possessing the drive to be a leader and even to climb to the top of the roster is admirable. But if what you really enjoy doing is running a division, then you don't want to be on the Council.

In brief, Divisional Council Reps are responsible for putting together a team to run a division and for providing the answers to questions that the Council may have regarding the division. Their focus is to reward and motivate, and when needed, to assist with making decisions for the division. An effective Council member should always be available, but he/she shouldn't be needed to make every decision for a properly functioning division. Although Council shouldn't oversee the day to day duties, they certainly have final say on all issues when necessary.

So why do we need a Council? When looking for members to take on this duty, we're really looking for help with running all of eGO. Our success is born from the advice of smart people on issues regarding the entire organization. They develop fresh ideas for building eGO and serving our members. I'm very proud to work on this team.

eGO couldn't function without a forward-thinking Council, but it's the divisions where the heart and soul of our great community lie. Without the leadership of caring Division Leaders leaning on talented Advisors, there is no eGO. Their responsibilities are many and often under appreciated. As CEO of the most unique and successful clan in the world, I get messages of thanks and praise from members, parents, and pubs who enjoy all that we offer. I always pridefully reply with gratitude for eGO's awesome divisional leadership team. It's this group that are in the trenches, making sure our members are happy and are having fun. What could be more rewarding than that?

People think it's "fun and games" being in leadership. It's not.

While leadership does have it's perks, there is a lot of time consuming responsibilities that come with the title.

Without going into details, I've spent about seven years running 2 different clans (not at the same time).

I did not start the clans, but I took over as people would retire.

I know from direct experience, the higher you are on that ladder, the less playing time you have.

I may not be leadership but I know better then some that this is very true.
Some of my good friends in eGO that i always played with got promoted
and now i see them less. It may be that i see them less but i am really thankful to them for spending their time to keep the community going.

Being council was fun. Sure it was hard, but everyone in the community is always helpful and nice.
