WildStar, new game?

After my extensive research into the extremely limited information available, I'm throwing my lot in the fact that this game is designed to never have a winning team.

Using this [extensive] [research] (i.e. 4 YouTube videos and a webpage) I have created a PG-rated movie adaptation where a peace loving race of alien/mutant minded toys fight and win against a highly trained and regimented military AI with undertones of "good" triumphing over "evil" and other concepts from leftover 1980's anti-violence programming along the same lines as the Care Bears and Captain Planet.

P.S. Remember to reduce, reuse, and recycle or the Dominion wins. THE POWER IS YOURS!!!

Pshhh,

Sounds almost as ridiculous as stone-age midget tree-bears fighting against a highly trained and well equipped empire and winning by throwing rocks and using traps made out of trees against a heavily armored infantry unit.

Hmm... Almost sounds like many encounters we have had in Arma. Just replace "stone-age midget tree-bears" with third world country humans that live in shacks without running water or electricity. Also, don't be hatin' on the gorgonites! I don't care what side we pick, I would prefer if it were like SWG where imperial players, rebel players, and neutral players could all be in the same guild. But who knows, maybe it will be like that.

At 2:25 in this video the executive producer of Wildstar starts talking about a settler path (idk how to explain it this, kind of a secondary class within your actual class), and it sounds like they can create and update HUBS! For those of you that are unsure what a hub is, the definition of hub is a place or thing that forms the effective center of an activity, region, or network. So in this case, a spot to get missions, craft, enlist in guilds, fastravel, etc

Yeah Grim, Seablade and I were talking about the settlers, and while i am not completely decided, just the idea of being able to build in ways that benefit people. The Devs said something about being able to link Hubs as a settler (portal/flightpath/traintracks?) so I can't wait to learn more about it.

idk im more looking forward to the explorer path :p

edit:

from what i've seen its set to be ftp though if its tf2/poe ftp or rs ftp ..eh no clue

tf2/poe - cosmetic items/hats total game is free
rs- play in restricted area with restricted content but unlimited game time

I would put $5 on it not being restricted FTP. I wouldn't be surprised if it is the Guild Wars 2 scheme, one time payment, no subscription, cosmetic microtransaction store in-game.

Also, Guild Wars 2 had a mechanic where if you explored the zone completely (visit all Vistas, PoIs, get all talent points etc.) You got money and some loot, so i would need to know more about the Explorer path before feeling like it isn't going to be GW2ish. Scientist might be interesting too.

Totally going Esper Settler. Already decided. Glory to the Esper master race!

But... Esper isn't a race... The heck with that "wannabe jedi" stuff... Warrior and Spellslinger is where it's at

If that's how its going to be then, given my current research into the game, I'd throw my lot with the Exiles. The Dominion sounds nice, all tyrannical and what not, but in the end, the Cassians, Draken and Mechari are all servants to a mandate given 1600 years ago by a now missing race of beings. I will plot my own course of wickedness and mayhem across Nexus, no aliens may dictate how or why i slaughter innocents! Sure the Exiles may also be home to races who love nature or have rocks for brains, but I will take my slice of FREEDOM any day over psuedo-superiority. The Dominion exists to be toppled, and I have every intent of doing so.

Aliens? 1600 years ago? That's a long time....Ancient one might say.

i signed up, how long does it generally take to get a beta invite?

If you don't get one in 5 minutes, don't ever expect one, EVAR.

i got a "thank you for signing up for the beta" email back..dont know if that means anything though xD

The best trailer I have ever seen.

I signed up 5 minutes ago, still no email sadface.jpg

Can't wait! (Oh, and I know I'm not in the OP:X division, but I can still have dreams!)

Besides, building a nation on a planet with a bunch of other eGO members? Who wouldn't want to do that? It will be complete domination!

oh! I just got that! That's a scene from Ancient Aliens, that ridiculous TV "documentary" where they try and prove aliens visited us thousands of years ago, and that was the one where every scene, is hair got more ridiculous! XD

They still have 2 classes AND 2 races yet to reveal.

Fixed. I'm glad classes are not faction restricted. That was one of ToR's biggest downfalls, besides not having enough entertaining end-game content. I wish Races in Wildstar would not be faction restricted :|
