Misc Gaming Question

I just got the old sonic games while they were on sale so I could try to relive some of my favorite gaming times, but playing those games with a keyboard instead of a controller is very difficult. Does anyone know if I can get some kind of usb analog controller to play it, or will there be compatibility/other issues that will prevent me from doing this? Thanks.

Did you get it through Steam? If so the answer should be yes, with big picture mode. I spent the money and got a Microsoft Xbox 360 controller designed specifically to be used with a PC. That runs about $60 but I think it is money well spent.

Indeed I have the 360 wireless controller for PC. I use big picture mode and have it hooked up with a long HDMI cable to my big screen. It rocks. There are a good number of titles that are on XBLA or PSN that you can also get on steam and play with the controller. Best way to play console ports that were designed for controller play. That controller is the best pc purchase I have made in a long time.

or you can get an adapter if you use PS3

*not an adapter, i forgot PS3 is already USB, but you could use that I believe
