Getting accurate with rifles

Howdy,

Just looking for some helpful tips. I have noticed that some players are so quick with the K-98 and Springfield. I was wondering what methods some of you have found for getting accurate shots while being highly mobile.

I know player ability has a lot to do with it but while I am not a fast player I do want to become a better rifleman.

practice, practice, practice, and do not use ironsights on K98. Oh, and stop just before shooting.

Never use ironsight in medium to close range, only use it if you are gona pick off targets at long range. Just before shooting stop moving for about 0.5-1 sec so the cross hair goes back to normal accuracy, then move agein. Aim for the chest as it is still a one hit kill.

Not very good with the springfield so I can't tell you any good tips.
But I guess one would be to learn how the gun jumps when you shoot.

its M1 Garand, not springfield. Spring is the allied sniper :chair:

I use ironsights quite a lot. But I only bring them up for a slight moment right before I need to take a shot.

M1 Garand and Springfield 1903 were both made by Springfield armory, hence both are correct.

a quick pause just before shooting is key, and NEVER stand in one spot trying to get the shot, ammo is free- shoot often and quickly. the noobiest of noobs can hit a still target. Always keep in motion, that helps to have your target more or less centered before firing. That is a key to sniping as well. The longer you stay in scope, you are motionless and an easy target. have your target more or less centered with any weapon before firing.

You can get good with the rifle by playing on strand and comping the field side. Also you could tryout realism.
