What's the best site to buy a gaming cpu (custom build or already build) and gaming laptop (already build)


Gaming Laptop Price Budget ($1000-$5000)

Just want links of websites of which one is best for gaming cpu and gaming laptop from best to worse...

Example:
#1 Digital Storm for gaming cpu and gaming laptop...
#2 Alienware for gaming cpu...
#3 Republic of Gamer for gaming laptop...

Whats (Number)X SLI mean...
 
MHeroFighter. Where does it say that about the SLI? My guess, it means it's running dual video cards in SLI format (therefore they're nVidia cards)

Theres a good variety of boutique stores you can buy gaming laptops and desktops from. It really comes down to price, what is inside, and their warranties (You MUST review what their warranty policies are as that's factored into the price you pay for; it's not just the computer)
 
I say clevo sager makes the best laptops out their for price. And for desktops, nothin' beats home made :).
 
I don't know where you live, but Costco.com has some decent buys in that range. I was surprised to see them sell Alienware.

They also have some Cyberpower and IBuyPower.

I agree. Magicmicro.com seems to have decent prices on completely customizable builds. My home made build is going to cost me about 1,000 and the cost (including shipping, adding a fresh install of Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, and adding extra cpu fans/hdd fans/etc.) was about 1,200-1,300 on their site. To me that is cheap considering my home build price wasn't even including the operating system. Not bad I think. Not sure on their customer service honestly because I haven't bought directly from them before but they seem good. Anyone can correct me if i'm wrong whoever has had dealings with them before.
 
Your best bet is Sager laptops. The BEST gaming laptop on the market hands down. No competition with it. If you dislike the looks of that laptop you can always try trusted brands as Asus' G series laptops. Im looking into getting this laptop:

Actually, when you buy your parts from newegg.com, they have a PC Builder OEM OS to be included with the PC Parts, which is a lot cheaper than a new OS seperately.

Yes, Clevo Sager makes the best laptops to date. They had a laptop in the past, dont know if they still make it, but it was like a 18 pound tank that was not small at all, and it ran off of a desktop processor rather than a mobile processor, and had three mobile graphic cards in SLI or XFire. It was not cheap, and did not have excellent battery life at all, but it was if you wanted crazy performance for gaming or work while having more portability than a desktop. Not much more, but still more portability :P
 
Before you buy anything, go to www.pricewatch.com and check out all they have on their site that they advertise for dozens of companies for anything PC.

Pricewatch is OK. Not great and it wont help you narrow down your searches for a true gaming laptop. Ive found WAY better deals on my own then looking through pricewatch.
 
I have a question, do you really want a laptop or a desktop? I can help you get a good rig for either one if ya wanna give me a PM or something.
 
Another thing to note with buying laptops that reviews alone cannot point out: There's a lot of coupon codes and special sales/discounts always out there. So a review unit may say $2200, pricewatch may say $2000, but you do some searches, you'll find a $500 discount promo code to go with it all. So I really do NOT like to say one laptop is better than anyone else or one boutique shop is, because they all vary based on price, build quality, and warranty. Anyone that says otherwise do not understand that there is no clear pick; it always depends on what you want, what you can get, and what you can afford.

Yeah, it's about 60 dollars cheaper than the OS by itself, so it saves you 60 dollars. Not a HUGE savings, but in this economy, better than nothing at all.
 
Im looking to buy a gaming laptop thats why I put a budget of $1K-$5K... I dont care if it comes with an OS cause I got OS CDs and Windows Keys...
