In regards to problems with the tournament

If you guys have a problem with your teams or a teammate, you need to talk to ME about it. I already had someone come up to me and say they made a drop box post about a problem they were having with their team. A problem you're having with the tournament can easily be remedied by coming and talking to me about it. We will sit down and talk, and leadership can focus on more important things than petty fighting within the teams. I will help you with whatever problem you have.

I know I put in my thread where I listed the teams to come to me if you had a problem with your team.

I highly recommend you bring your problem to me first.

This thread needs to be taken seriously. Keep in mind that we, as a leadership team, have decided to give this scrim/comp team a chance, and I made the decision to hand over almost complete control to both Fl!p and Fart Vader. Fl!p has spent more time than any of us in leadership in organizing this tournament, and even some of the prizes are coming form his own pocket.

If you have a problem with a teammate, or the way the teams were managed, than maybe more of you should have said that you'd rather pick your own teams, instead of leaving them to Fl!p and then getting upset when you didn't get the team/teammates you desired. If you guys can't make it through a simple tournament without bickering about who's on what team and complaining when things don't go your way, then how can we even begin to move forward with a competitive team that can be taken seriously?

I'm speaking to all of you, I am not singling anyone out when I say this in regards to the tournament: Arguing with your assigned teammates, reporting each other, and bickering back and forth among yourselves, instead of coming to Fl!p first and leadership second, is a surefire way to have our server shut down and our support pulled from the scrim and comp teams.

We are here to have fun, people. If we can't do that, even in a friendly tournament with each other, the very people we play with on a daily basis, then what's the point?

---

Edit:

Also, Fl!p is usually in contact with me, so if you believe it is something Fl!p can't handle, message me. But I would still strongly recommend trying to work things out with him first, and from there, either he will contact me, or you will. Simple as that. Also, your ability to make it onto the comp team is based on Fl!p and Fart's decisions, and these are on an individual basis. They will be watching everyone, not just writing off a team because, as a team, they didn't perform well. They will be keeping a strong eye on individual performance as well. That doesn't mean to try and be the star of the show. It means play to the best of your ability and have fun doing it. Your team may not get first prize, but that doesn't ruin your chances at still making it on the comp team or continuing in our competitive endeavors later on.

I commend you fl!p...

Sprinkle some seasoned vet egos with some new to the scrim game players, and you get a recipe for headaches. I am competitive yes, but I also understand that this is just a preliminary tournament to determine our actual eGO competitive team. I know there are several players better than I am, and that I won't be on Team 1, but I love playing, I love competing and making myself better at the game.

So thank you for taking the time to put this all together, that goes for you too Fart Vader. I'm looking forward to it and actually having fun.

My only quarrel, is I wish for it to be held earlier in the day, but I'll work around whatever schedule you throw at us.

Yeah, it'd be great if the event could be earlier and I understand you have already stated that the time might change. 8PM EST is quite late for people on the east coast, well, I am speaking for myself of course.

But thanks Fl!p and Fart for putting this little tournament together. Looking forward to it :)

Oh 8PM EST is late for you guys? Thats 2 AM for me but its a one time thing so I will take my time and play.
Would be cool if the time could be a bit earlier, since its a saturday but oh well.. can't make it perfect for everybody

Fl!p is the real man here, hes put the man hours into this. If you all need any help feel free to ask me as well. I can also help you all run practices if you don't feel comfortable electing a team captain.

Keep in mind we are building a team here, not looking for just star players but real team players. I'm not going to bring a prima donna on the team even if they can make pz shots every round.
