On the plus side:
My daughter loves living 700 miles away and so do I;
My son loves everything we do together and so to I;
My ex-wife is not asking for anymore favors;
My business is getting mostly predictably profitable and I'm current on the mortgage;
Housing is coming back and I might actually have equity in my house again;
The zombies haven't attacked yet.
On the negative side:
There is still not enough money for all I want to do, and no prospect of more for the rest of the year;
My daughter still calls me twice a week to talk about how miserable her roomates are, how she needs more money, how she needs a car, why I won't pick her up when the zombies attack, or wondering why her computer broke again;
My clients still sometimes require weeks or months of pestering in order to pay their bills;
I'm still digging out of over-borrowing last year;
My last regular girlfriend gave me a choice between eGO and sex, and frankly the sex wasn't that good;
My last non-girlfriend but really sweet girl moved to Maine. Can you believe it? Maine! I'm in San Diego and she can't get much further and still be in the States;
I really think this is the time to deal with North Korea, but John Kerry looks like his middle name is appeasement and Leon Panetta just looks like he's stoned every day;
The zombies haven't attacked yet.
