[poll] Class Limits?

I know I'm not in a position to really make any decisions for the server here, but I think restricting is a really bad idea.

The GREAT thing about this game is that there are NO two games alike. If a team has two many spies, PYRO!!

Also, you think spies are annoying, but really, REALLY think about it. How often are you stabbed by a spy. Now, think about how many times you are killed by a scout, sniper, medic, engineer, heavy, the list goes on.

And besides, spies are crucial to evening out the game. You may want your sentry to get 15 kills, but thats super over-powered. How do you combat it? SPIES!

The moment you restrict anything, you completely screw with Valve's original idea. Valve has thought through this guys, they've been working on this game for 9 years.

Don't screw with the brew ;)

I personally like everything the way it is. The ability to choose your desired class at all times is a good thing. Plus, after many, many hours of playtime, I have never once noticed anything wrong with the class limits.

I wouldn't enjoy it very much if it did happen. I don't want to be forced into a class that I'm not in the mood to play. Plus, I change classes every round, depending on what’s going on in battle. At the beginning of the round, I jump to Scout so I can get to the control points faster. After, I'll switch to Spy so I can take a look at the enemy setup, etc. I don't want to be locked into a class.

By limiting classes, you are eliminating team strategy. It's fun when your entire team is a Scout, running around from point to point trying to capture. It offers a wide range of gameplay. Yes, it might not be fun when you have few Medics with an Uber Charge on a Heavy, but that’s the way it can be sometimes. There's always away to counter it. It all comes down to teamwork, not class limitations.

In addition, it also keeps those players who tend to complain about [X player is not doing well with X class, please give it up].

Variety is GOOD, let's keep it that way.

Quoted for truth. I personally don't want any of the classes limited. It doesn't feel like that's the way the game is meant to be played. Been playing quite a bit this week, and I feel that there is usually plenty of variety going on as it is. Balance has already been found in my opinion. Limiting classes I feel will only bring more problems than it solves.

Edit: It's also worth noting that I've never, ever had a problem with spies. Not even when there were five or six on the opposing team. Maybe it's because I tend to be a pyromaniac, maybe it's because I like spinning around in circles so I don't get backstabbed. Point being, I do not think ANY of the classes should be limited. There are ways to deal with them. You would think limiting them would encourage teamwork --- but I will say this. I have seen infinitely more teamwork in TF2 than I have in our DoD: S servers, where limited classes exist. Having it like this, open to all, makes for much more FUN gameplay, AND much more varied, involved teamplay.

PEOPLE STOP SAYING ENIGINEERS I LOVE THEM TOO MUCH VOTE SPYS

Being a spy... I would vote for Engineer, Heavy, and Spy.... possibly pyro.... 2 engineers... 2 heavys.... 2 spys (one defense one offense)..
