A laser trail as in real life?
Heh, to be honest, lasers dont leave trails, unless theyres tons and tons of dust around.
Actual laser dots dont even really exist. People use aimpoints. (I have an aimpoint on my .308 Browning). It creates a little laser dot in a scope-like thing. But it doesnt show the laser on any actual surface. (llok it up, its hard to explain)

Actually, unless it was dark or there was smoke, I don't believe you would be able to see the trail. At least thats how the laser on my gun works. I can see the dot, just not the beam unless Im in smoke
