Boston Marathon Bombings & Insensitive Players

So I was playing de dust which I have to admit brings the most idiotic people... it's never highschool that's roudy just de dust! Anyways the bombings were brought up and someone said Boston not being around will make America Better.

It's an outrage someone thinks people getting injured in this manner and dying is a joke. I quickly told him not to do it, got advice over the # menu and gagged him for two minutes, I ungagged and gave a firm warning. Truthfully I felt like kicking him but wasn't sure.

There are people outside of that marathon that were impacted, when people joke about these type of things(9/11, Skud missiles hitting S. Korea, the Batman Shooting, the school shootings, etc) you should quickly act and pay close attention because there are children of those that died today, and they may play counter strike, sympathize with what's going on in their head right now. Do the right thing and nip the horse play before it even starts escalating.

Admining goes beyond the rules laid out, I'd not thought twice about him saying that had the events of today never occurred but since they did, it's up to us to act dutifully. Please when you admin pay attention to some of the stuff being thrown out there because if you don't catch something like that and a 10 year old who's mother or father just got shrapnel throwing them into the ICU could, and it could really impact them to the point they'd require mental therapy let alone the fact they'd hate eGO servers and likely online gaming as a whole.

ive driven down that street alot. I live in a boston suburb. The ESPN boards are much worse... the trolls there are OOC. The anonymous internet give people a wider margin of surreality to live in. At least 2 generations of americans are raised in this environment. Same with the world. What you did counts towards grounding PEOPLE. I try to do the same when i can.

Personally, if they want to spout out some ridiculous opinion about America being better without it, I say they should be allowed to and given the natural consequence that people will lash back to that bahavior. If its obvious trolling, then admin intervenience should be permitted, but we should never gag member for an opinion, no matter how radical it may seem.

Besides, a lot of these issues are blown out way more than they need to be, like that school shooting a while back. Children die everyday. More children die to easily preventable diseases each day than children shot in a month, or even a year. It's sad, but we just need to accept the fact that people die and not be so sensitive about it. Terrible things happen, and if people want to have radical opinions about it, who are we to silence people for their opinions?

If people encourage any sort of negative discussion pertaining to this subject, admin it. Anything more would be seen as inciting poor reactions from pubbers that would detract from gameplay. Just use your common sense when you encounter anything surrounding this event. If players insist on carrying out a discussion, please kindly ask that they take it to STEAM chat.

Our servers aren't a news source, chat in-game should try to kept to what's going on in server. While it's understandable that players will be talking about current events, disrespect will absolutely not be tolerated and should be admined accordingly.
