I didn't have my own steam account when I originally signed up for eGO. I ended up using my brother's steam ID (because I used his account) for the Maul verification. Now I can't change it . I guess this means that I have to create a new account and lose my award/s.

Not at all. Post in the drop box the STEAM IDs in questions and Leadership will handle it.
