A Divide in the Division

Before I start this, I just want to say that if this becomes a bashing thread, or post of negative remarks, I will have Thundr or Short delete your post/ or lock this thread.

Back when I joined eGO almost 4 years ago, I joined because of how their servers were ran, and how well the community was, and its players. It was fun being here and meeting new people back in the old BC2 days.

Recently, things seem to be different. It seems like there is a divide in this division, and I wanted to write something out to hopefully clear the air so we can all get back to being ONE Division.

I've been hearing things and seeing things in threads and maybe even in vent about talking bad about another member, I even might have done some myself.
Today though, this all needs to STOP! All of us in this division need to take a step back and realize why we are here...............Have you thought about it??? I have, Im here to have fun with my fellow eGO members and grow this division into something great for all of us to enjoy!

Most of you dont know, but I am a stay at home dad, Im 31 and on permanent disability, So when I jump onto vent, I come to relax and have fun, take my mind off of things, even if its just for an hour or two, or whenever my 9 month old wakes up or starts crying. And to HAVE FUN!!!!!!!

I'm asking everyone today to please drop any issues or bad feelings, or whatever the case may be with anyone TODAY. Lets go back to being one division and making this the place to be!!

This is not intended for one person, this is for the entire division and the community to read. I dont care if youre from opx, tf2, cs, bf, minecraft, etc etc.
If you have an issue with anyone, take it up with an Advisor or the DL's, or put it into the Dropbox, thats what they and it are here for.

If I offend anyone from this, I apologize, this is not my intention at all.

I haven't seen or heard any bashing from members to other members. Then again i haven't been here that long. I believe it does happen and i know it does from past clan experiences back in my halo 1 days
It can cause people to leave clans or get kicked out when people go to far.

the only way your post could offend someone super, is if they are the basher. Ive overheard things come from even our leaders.

I agree with Super. I am a relatively new member though so I don't know how things used to be but things do seem a little more divided. I don't know if its because of the clan getting back into the competitive scene or something more simple like people wanting to play different game types that our servers do not support. But either way I would like to see everyone just sort of simmer down. Maybe just because I'm in a small fight with some other friends of mine right now or I just like everyone to be happy. But I would like it if this is always somewhere I can go where everyone is a little nicer to each other.

I totally agree with you there SuperJ569. When I joined eGO I started in the TF2 division for that very reason. I played BC2 and had fun playing it with you all on the servers. It wasn't until playing BF3 that I had the most fun so I decided to switch to the BF division. I have never regretted the switch.

Know I know I have said "I hate you so and so on vent" to some of you eGO people but it was all in fun and in jokes etc.. and I hope you all know that. I don't really hate any of the eGO people ( well except maybe Killer when hes in that damn LAV ) But again its all in fun.

If I have done anything to anybody to make them mad at me tell me. Might just be a misunderstanding.

Why do people hate my LAV so much lol This division has always been a close knit family and it will also stay that way. Its members like super who highlight our culture of just having fun together, and that will continue.

I have actually held off recruiting people because of this. We need to bring new people into a positive environment, not one of bashing on other members. I hope we can get things turned around. I really enjoy playing with you guys and goofing around in vent.

If problems do arise please do what super said and use the drop box and the division leaders, it's what they're there for.

FWIW, my experiences have been all positive so far and the company in Vent is always upbeat and welcoming. That said I'm in the BF2 vent rooms much more than BF3...like 90/10.

My son(Headhunter) and I joined eGO to have fun playing together and to get to know players with the same enthusiasm we have for the game. So far we have not noticed any bashing to speak of. I trash talk a bit, but it is always in fun and I usually make that known. I always figure whenever I hear similar talk that it is the same thing I do. I would sure hope that's all it is. We enjoy playing with all the members we have met so far and look forward to many years of enjoyment here at eGO. Thank you Super for bringing this thought to the front of our minds so we all can concentrate on keeping this division as it has always been. Kudos to all for reading and replying. I'm a regular on Vent just about everyday with the same group of half dozen or so individuals. I agree with Lone about the good humored trash talking. Aside from the occasional frustration when teams aren't doing well everything has been very positive.

I personally havent seen any of this going on, then again i been so busy with school im hardly on. Good topic though Super and its true why have a beef! Lets just have some fun on a fun game. If we cant do that then something is wrong.
