I can and do on a regular basis... I build like 5 - 15 per month for people. Its awesome I just love doing it... plus its super easy and people pay you far too much to do it.

um, if you build it yourself, around $400-$600. Atleast from my experience.

All for $795.92 before shipping from Newegg.com... its a tad more than $600 but took me all of 10 minutes to mock up, but then again that PC would easily kill most peoples machines. Oh and I'm not the biggest ATI fan (I have nvidia SLI myself) but the HD2900 PRO is only going to be around for a short time and is a HUGH bargin for the $269.99, it would blow the doors off of just about all (beside like 2 other) graphics cards on the market. (That would destroy my pc... you can see it in other thread)

I'm sure with some tweaking bargaining and shopping around you can easily keep the performance and drop to like $725 - $750. Just keep in mind thats everything, Hard drive, dvd burner case ect. Many of these things can be recycled from your old machine. Drop the Case, HDD and CD/DVD... you only dish out $649.95.

yes....putting it together is sooo much easier than you think. Like Garden said, you just have to make sure everything is compatible. It cost me around 800...3 years ago...not including monitor or software.

Hmm... I plan to rebuild my computer in November when I get a bunch of money for my birthday. I'm working off of a X800 and an Athlon 3200+ 64bit at the moment.

What did you mean about the HD2900 only being around for a short time, Duality? I need to get as much bang for the buck I can get, I need a new motherboard, video card, RAM, processor, everything, so I'll take any great deal I can find. I have to admit, I haven't been keeping up with the parts race for a few months now. I couldn't name you any of the top-of-the-line cards out now like I would have been able to in '04.
