I 100% agree with this. I would recommend an i5 2500k over a 3570k because it's a sandy bridge and runs cooler. Overclocking is better aswell. Make sure you get a Z77 chipset mobo

yup, I agree. However Sandy bridge doesnt support PCI Express 3.0 x16.

I disagree;
the heat only matters if you're going for a super high OC
Overclocking is about the same, you get slightly lower clocks but the IPC makes up for it
If he DID get a 2500k, there's no reason to get a z77
And if he's not overclocking, the stock 3570 is better than the 2500
