best place wireless adapter?

Hello,

Im wondering what the best place for my wireless adapter is? I have a TP-Link TL-WN822N, I can position it because it has a cable (not a too long cable). Any tips? I read somewhere I shouldnt place it near monitors or cables, is this true?
