Yes I know its an old game & ive never gotten it. However, the game is on sale for 60% off, or $8. Do you guys think its a good deal?

Depends, the game plays out a bit like a 1960's detective movie. If you more care for story/character development than gameplay I'd recommend it.

The game is also a mediocre port from the consoles so if your PC can handle it, you should definitely play it

There is some good and bad. The detective parts are decent and the plot of the game is actually pretty good...but the action keeps on getting in the way of the game.

It's like every 10 minutes the game feels like it needs a shoot out or a chase sequence and quite honestly, it get pretty tiresome after a while.

For $8 bucks it's definitely wroth your time though. I'm kind of sad that development for the Whore of the Orient shut down, I was looking forward to seeing more on it.

Plus, there isn't much replay-ability besides a collect-athon.

It is a long freaking game though, like 30+ hours, replay-ability doesn't matter all that much. Especially for 8 bucks.

The game wasn't a typical $60 rockstar title for sure, but it is worth 10 bucks....or eight or whatever....I personally didn't feel it had any replay value though.

Got bored with it within like 2 hours, very repetitive & little reason to re play it. I wish RDR was on PC, been meaning to repurchase it on PS3

Ya I was thinking, when I hit it rich, ill start up a company to start porting games that people really want to PC. RDR has been a game that ive been wanting to get a port pretty much since it first came out.

I'd heard they were going to do a port, but that was ages ago and it's irked me pretty heavily because of it. PC gamers as a whole are getting royally screwed over due to companies using the "piracy" complaint when asked if they're going to do a PC version/port for a popular game lately...

OT, I actually like LA Noire. People say it's a 'meh' port (and it is somewhat) but I've not had any problems with it. And the feeling of it when playing it in black & white (which is indeed an option) is amazing. It just sets the vibe so much more than just the amazingly well crafted world of 1940s L.A. can.
