steam problems

Hi guys,

Are the steam servers offline? i cant install steam anymore.
it started that my steam didnt update dod;s, so i logged out and in. But that didnt help.
I checked steam helpdesk and removed my steam appcache, restarted my pc but that didnt help to.
After al this i thougt "i re-install dods'... so i removed dods.. en couldnt install it again.
I thougt there was someting wrong with my steam, so i tried to install steam again. but the only thing he is saying is "Steam needs to be online to update, please confirm your connection and try again".
I checked my hole connection, everyting is working fine..

Do one of you kno what the problem is ?
